We ensure that all assessments are conducted with fairness, consistency, and transparency. External assessments are securely managed to maintain academic integrity, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and standards.

  1. Appeals and Complaints Policy for Learners

Learners have the right to appeal assessment decisions and raise complaints regarding any aspect of their learning experience. WLPC has a zero-tolerance policy towards academic malpractice, including plagiarism, collusion, and fraudulent practices. Strict procedures are in place to investigate and address malpractice, ensuring the integrity of our qualifications.

  1. Reasonable Adjustments & Special Consideration and Extenuating Circumstances Policy

We are committed to supporting learners with disabilities, learning difficulties, or extenuating circumstances. Reasonable adjustments (e.g., additional time, alternative assessments) are available to ensure fair access to learning and assessments.

  1. Conflict of Interest Policy

WLPC has a transparent policy for identifying and managing conflicts of interest in assessments, staff recruitment, and business operations. All conflicts must be declared and managed to maintain fairness and integrity.

  1. Conduct of Assessment / Externally Set Assessment Policy

All assessments, including externally set assessments, are conducted in a controlled and secure environment. WLPC ensures compliance with awarding body regulations and follows strict invigilation and verification procedures.

  1. Contingency Plan

WLPC has a Contingency Plan in place to ensure minimal disruption to learners in case of emergencies such as:

  • Cyber-attacks affecting online learning platforms.
  • Fire alarms, bomb threats, or other security risks requiring evacuation.
  • Staff shortages or closures due to unforeseen circumstances.

The plan includes alternative assessment arrangements, relocation options, and communication protocols to safeguard learners’ progression.
